As Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in shaping the legal framework of our corporate strategies and products, directly contributing to the company's growth and ensuring our operations align with dynamic changes in the financial sector.
Your responsibilities
- Consult and handle various corporate legal processes – such as preparing and developing corporate procedures and policies, restructuring, joint ventures, equity financing, commercial contracts, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the legal and regulatory aspects of financial instruments and their offering on the TWINO platform
- Prepare investment product-related documentation, including prospectuses, key information documents, agreements with issuers, etc.
- Give legal advice and do research in the field of investment products and services (e.g., MiFID II, MiFIR, PRIIPs, MAR, Prospectus Regulation)
- Draft legal documentation and content-related texts (e.g., standard agreements, custom agreements, disclaimers, warnings, etc.)
- Assist with the structuring of complicated financing models and ensure innovative solutions comply with all relevant laws
What we are looking for
- Degree in Law or in the final stages of obtaining it
- At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in financial services practice or legal function of an investment firm, bank, or related regulated financial institution
- Strong desire to practice in the field of financial law and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
- Knowledge of financial and investment services regulatory framework in the EU and the ability to navigate and apply the regulatory requirements will be considered as a benefit
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting working relationships while maintaining independence
- Excellent command of Latvian and English, including legal writing. Other language skills will be considered an advantage
- Ability to prioritize and take full ownership of various initiatives and legal projects

The salary range for this position varies from 2500-2700 EUR gross depending on the skill set, experience, and other competencies.
